Our History
Be part of something bigger than yourself
End Mass Overdose Inc. doing business as EMO Health is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that was founded by a female veteran in 2015 to provide innovative solutions to population health challenges regardless of socioeconomic status. In the words of our founder Allison Burns, "We raised our hands to serve, to give our lives overseas, not to come home and die from lack of access to healthcare." End Mass Overdose subsequently became the first organization to offer medication therapy services to under-served patients suffering from substance use disorders and co-occurring mental illnesses in residential treatment facilities in Massachusetts; and we have been redefining the way public health is approached ever since.
